I also feel most of the senior members of the SM development were involved as spartanly as possible, to facilitate them working on Gen VIII, setting teams in motion then stepping back into a strictly advisory role, unless something necessitated stepping in to dig them out. Everyone seems to be forgetting Nintendo were shitting themselves with the Switch, they made two top-tier games for it already, to give it it's best chance of success the need to get all their heavy-hitters out within the first two years, to generate maximum hype for the following 3-4 and I'm not saying it's going to be "Pokémon BotW", I expect it to be the same basic game I've been playing since Red in Gen I, but with a smoother, more immersive experience, better visuals and another 200 hours+ timesink.
