I've come to a realisation that this series and Mystery Dungeon games are better than half of main games. Or I'm just sick of standard Pokemon formula. Not sure at this point.

I prefer capture mechanic from the original but quest system and more partner Pokemon are nice additions. Overall, the sequel seems a little too lenient on the player I'd say.
What do you prefer in it?
