It is still turn based, but there are two new options added among Fight bag run and Pokemon, being Stance, where you can switch to a defensive stance where the Pokemon is more defensive in stats, or offensive, more offensive. The second new option is Focus, where they don't attack on the turn it is used, but next turn whatever attack is used will be completely succesful, a normal attack always hitting and being a critical hit, and say, protect, stays until they attack, making a temporary shield.
