I played through recently with Typhlosion, Lanturn, Bellossom, Espeon, Heracross, and Miltank. It went fine, really.
>>34698216Yeah, but dude's already got Feraligatr.
>>34698276Bellossom isn't so bad. I used one in my recent playthrough of Gold, it's got decent attack and great bulk. The only problem is the movepool, Gloom is stuck with Absorb and Acid for a while, until you get the Sludge Bomb TM in Mahogany and learn Petal Dance at 44. You don't want to evolve before that point.
>>34697662The problem with Jumpluff is that it doesn't learn any actual attack moves until like the late 40s or 50s.
>>34698934Crobat is a favorite Pokemon of mine but in Gen 2 it has a really shallow movepool and learns no poison attacks. Not even Sludge Bomb from a TM.
>>34697591Miltank is beastly. Abra makes good use of the elemental punches, but you're only getting the full experience with a trade partner. Magnemite benefits greatly from its new steel resistances. If you can afford it, you can buy a Dratini at the Game Corner, but its costly. Use Bill's Eevee as a wildcard to fit the rest of the team dynamic. Maybe give Natu a try, after getting Surf?
