Gen 7 was terrible because they removed everything good about Pokémon and replaced it with bootleg versions of things we love about the franchise. Trials, totems, battle tree, battle agency, festival plaza, rotom dex, all hold nothing compared to gyms, battle frontier, and pss.

It has the same BST as all the other Pikachu-expy mons and Disguise is themed gimmick ability that actually is good. If Fairy wasn't a busted piece of shit type, Mimikyu would be a lot worse than it is now.

While I agree with you on fairy being busted, I think Mimikyu would still be bullshit without the type. It's ability is just that fucking good, you get a free move with no downsides, plus the added ghost type makes it so that it can't be faked out from non-scrappy mons. Mimikyu shouldn't get swords dance, and that's the only way to balance it without removing disguise.

Anon, Mimikyu isn't a Pikaclone because it doesn't fulfill the two criteria:

1) It's not Electric-type, and
2) It does not learn Nuzzle, a move that is exclusive to Pikachu's family and the Pikaclones.

Mimikyu is a shadowy Pokemon that is wearing a shitty Pikachu costume. It is not a rodent with electric pouches.

Mimikyu is to Pikachu what Pikachu Libre is to Hawlucha. They're not the same thing.

True, but there was a battle menu wallpaper in XY that featured Pikachu, its evolutions, and all of the clones (Plusle, Minun, Pachirisu, Emolga, and Dedenne) up to that point. Marill isn't on there btw, and Mimikyu probably wouldn't have been either.
