Hey vp, I want to send you a message. I am a hobbyist artist who have been earning some pocket change for 10 years now.
The most important thing for an artist is to finish their projects. A poor project that you finish is better than a great project that never becomes true.
Even if you have no confidence, no skill, no inspiration, you should go and make something become true. Don't get hung up on the idea of perfection, as it changes over time, your perfection might be somebody's else failure.
Do not worry about what others think. Just do your thing, do it throughly. Make it to the end.
In other words, gen 7 is better than nothing.
