I just hope you realize we're getting Kanto reimaginings with the massive anime-based region, and we're more than likely playing as "Ash." They will be Yellow remakes, essentially.

I'd fucking love that, but I'm sure it's not what we'll get. Probably gonna be a 1:1 remake of RGB, no non-Kanto mons, no new routes or areas, like FrLg but without the Sevii Islands.

Unrelated, but I love art like pic related, Pokémon in man-made settings without any humans present.

Okay. I'd play Ash if it meant I got a character that wasn't the soulless id and muscleman of the plot.
Besides. Maybe playing as Ash means playing on hard mode.

There was a thread like this a few days ago. I dropped the idea of adding gaming elements from the Snap and TCG games. You could buy booster packs and build decks to battle other players (they could have an entire league for the TCG alongside the Gyms/E4). And with a Snap camera you could just take photos of Pokemon in the field to fill up the dex.

I know Game Freak would never do this though. They aren't capable.

They are capable, they just aren't willing.
Game Freak has the money and assets to basically produce whatever the fuck they wanted in under 5 years time. They just won't, because as long as the production value is low, the profit margin is bigger, and the Pokemon brand isn't particularly helped by an actually good game.

I'm rebranding myself, you know, diversifying the ol' portfolio as they say, and I hear these pikachu games sell well. How about it? We'll have to shave off some edges, of course, people want accessibility nowadays, not these weird hidden mechanics or superfluous pokemon. Like, I thought people were kidding, but there's almost a thousand of these things! I'm thinking, say, 500.

Hey, it just works.
The best part, this series really looks like it could support my buisness model already! I won't have to change a damn thing! How does a new version every year sound, each one with three reasonably priced expansion dlcs that in total double the scale of each game.
I've got more ideas! You can scrap items and harvest ingredients from your pokemon to build your own pokemon center, or even town! You can even build your own gym.

Everything will be lootable. Remember the chairs in gen 6? You can take them now. You'll have to fight the Officer Jennys, and they will be scaled to you, but you can really just walk away with it.
Oh, I have so many good ideas for all of this!

Each pokemon will get a perk every three levels, and these perks will fall under each of the basic statistics of Pokemon. These will replace the confusing effort value system of the past. Now, you just apply your perk, and like that, your pokemon does 10% more damage with physical attacks. More points mean more specialized abilities like +30% to attacks with recoil, but double the recoil.
I'm going to add followers in. Any of the cast of friends provided at the start of the game are available to follow you, as well as a few other characters. They can hold your items (I'm definitely giving items weight, it just seems so weird), or fight in double battles with you.
Trainers move around the world. The lass you fight in the opening hours of the game might come back an ace trainer later, assuming the pathing bugs don't find her first.
Oh guys, this is wonderful. I haven't felt this much inspiration since we got Fallout!
