Instead of getting the hat Pikachus with basic stats, I always wanted Ash's Pikachu to have boosted stats, as if he was a different form. I also really wanted his Pikachu to learn cool moves other Pikachu didn't. I would've LOVED an anime episode where he somehow trained hard enough and learned Aura Sphere, or a cool move that didn't seem too absurd but still something that Ash's Pikachu could only do. Something he trained harder and harder to do.
I wanted the anime to build up this badass Goku of Pikachus, and then give it away in the games as this very unique and very different Pikachu.
I realize that sounds gay and stupid, but i feel like it would've been better than what we got.
