>>34708461I would love if they made a Gen 4 remake and decided to include Sinnoh Regional forms for Gens 5, 6, and 7 Pokemon. I know we're in a
"new" timeline with Megas and they could give two shits and just throw in regional forms for any Pokemon, but the idea that the Unova, Kalos and Alola mons didn't exist in Gen 4 and thus make the most sense for regional forms? That's kinda neat.
Love to them explore messing with some of the middling, not-popular-enough, or crap Pokemon from those regions, like they did with Kanto mons in Gen 7.
Some ideas:
>Unova-Patrat & Watchog: become Electric/Normal. The threat of powerful Staraptors hunting them forced their latent electrical abilities to appear. They dash around treats quickly, signaling each other with showers of light when a bird is near so they can all gang together and zap it.
-Elgyem & Beeheeyem: Rock/Psychic with Galvanize as one of their abilities. Appearing on Mt. Coronet generations ago, their bodies slightly calcified in the atmosphere giving them the Rock typing. They can control the flow of energy with their minds, lifting stones into the air as if they were feathers. The excess energy also gives their attacks a slight electrical "zing" when they strike.
-Solosis line: Psychic/Poison.The Great Marsh offers the only respite from the dryer, cooler air of Sinnoh. In order to stay moist, the Solosis that end up in Sinnoh must live in the low-oxygen and often toxic waters of the marsh. As a result, their bodies absorbed some of the toxins, giving them poisonous properties. These infected cells attack only as a defense to get away, but are quite dangerous even to the touch.
>Kalos-Diggersby: Normal/Ice with same abilities (including Huge Power). Because of the colder climate, Bunnelbys are forced to deal with harsh snowfalls. They adapted to deal with cold and frost as they evolved.
