A few months before DX came out, Pokken on WiiU still had about 4000 people playing online, typically,potentially way more, and the switch version has already sold as much lifetime sales the WiiU version has in some regions, so there's probably way more players then that.
>>34724492The online isn't dead at all; but it's an actual competitive fightter, so you need to keep in mind that if you are expecting something like tthe naruto or dbz games with tons of single player content, modes, and being able to pick up and play any character, then you'll be dissapointed: Like most fighting games, the replay value comes from self improvement and playing against others, and you need to really learn a character to use them.
It's a good fighting game to start with, but it IS still a fighting game; you'll get out of it what you put in. If you do decide to get it, you should join the discord mentioned here
