Remember when these were supposed to be a great partnership between Trainer and Pokémon? Why did they reduce them to horrifying, painful transformations?

Game Freak doesn't want you to care about Megas anymore, Z-Moves are the new gimmick. Colress even says at one point that Z-Moves are even stronger than Mega Evolution just to get through to the kiddies how much cooler the NEW gimmick is.

Expect the same thing to happen to Z-Moves in Gen 8, because gimmicks are all this series has anymore.
