For another example, Lillipup (Stoutland) is in the lowest competitive tier in Gen 5, but it's A/High tier in the ingame list in BW2, so I wouldn't use it.
I also do other self-imposed rules such as No Legendaries, no starters (if they happen to be in the tier, which most are not), no gimmick mons such as Slaking/Wobbuffet/Shedinja/etc no items in battle, no going above a Boss Battle's level, and other things.
there are also some Pokemon I would never use, such as Luvdisc. Luvdisc is just too shit and would simply resort to cheese strats which wouldn't be fun at all.
