Castform is such a terrible design that they purposefully tried to forget it during the Gen III remakes, but then they kinda felt sorry for the derpy thing that they made new art a Gen later.

it's not really for USUM itself. Pokemon opened a site explaining what are ALL possible pokemon formes. Art was neccessary.

At the very least give the forms proper shinies. Fun fact: Castform forms are the only Pokémon that do not have a shinies.
