Lickitung is a Pokemon I've always liked, kinda, but one that I've never actually used. It's usually tucked into weird places, and in Gen I, it got the short end of the stick, only available as a late-game trade (like Jynx and to a lesser extent Mr. Mime). It's more famous for its Pokemon Stadium minigame than anything else.

If I were to start a game with Lickitung as my starter, which would you recommend? I have a preference for games prior to Gen IV, just because I find them breezier and the simplicity suits me right now.
