Why is Gen V's Victory Road so good?

Great music, great pacing, great trainers. As much hate as Gen V gets, it puts others to shame.

I never played B2W2, but I did play White. I didn't care for it because it was super easy. HMs are completely optional in the game period and I was disappointed that strength is only necessary if I wanted to catch a legendary.

I was really tempted to green text "victory road" with an angry pepe, but yeah, 5's is indeed tolerable. 6's is also good, but only because it is almost too "casual". I'd rather have some casual shit than a boring cave with rock pushing and ladders and constant exploding gravelers

what? That's not even a legitimate criticism of GSC. GSC's Victory Road is Route 26+27, which has the best music in the series, and the first good one in the franchise.

Gen 6 victory road had potential, but ended up being a majestix corridor with one or 2 gimmicks.
Too bad it was supposed to be based on the Roman Walls, it somehow gets the vibe but it's too vague

BW2 had the best victory road, version exclusiveness, tough trainers, variety, that small part from BW victory road that touched my heart.
We will never have another decent victory road

BW2's is insanely good. Really big, difficult, and had that small part from the original's. I don't understand why it took until Gen 5 to have Victory Road be not just a boring cave. Sinnoh's was even basically Hoenn's with different HM requirements, right down to the location being on an island that requires Waterfall on the very East of the map.

Kalos has a pretty good one too. I also honestly really like Mt Lanakila in USUM. I really liked the icy mountain area and I'm glad they did more with it and extended it. The room with Necrozma in the crater was amazing to look at as well.

I love the one from Hoenn, it´s good without dragging for too long and it ends with a battle vs. the true rival, you also get to meed the last Winstrate family member there and fight him.

Either way, I hate that victory road is always full of shitmons and Golbats, fuck that.

That's the problem with casual mainstream fans, people with no taste or understanding how a great game should be are giving GF feedback.

The result is more 3D, less quality, less effort, because GF know that casual fans are actually retards who buy everything.

The last games where GF didn't insult the fans' intelligence were HGSS. You might forgot that Gen 5 started the 3 monster limit for gym leaders and 4 monsters for elite 4. Not to mention that it started the trend of mandatory legendaries that it made them no better than Pokes such as Snorlax, Red Gyarados, Volcarona, etc. in rarity.
