We've dealt with this ages ago in a meta where we didn't even have team preview so you couldn't even see it coming and when it came you probably lost the game.
I don't mean to sound rude but it grinds my gears to hear people giving excuses to ban a pokemon that wasn't even that common, especially when Smogon starts with their "competitiveness" rethoric.
I wish we could see Smogon go back to its gen 3 ideals, where bans are kept to an absolute minimum.
