decidueye is a shit pokemon and is way worse design wise than incineroar, but i have to agree.

it would balance the roster as well, having a fire, water and grass type

Genuinely speaking, as somebody who would be happy with any of the three being in, Incineroar would be the best candidate. Smash doesn't really have a grappling, wrasslin' type character and there isn't really a rushdown character that has a lot of range which Incineroar could easily fill with its lanky arms. Decidueye's doable but between both Link and two Pits, there's not too terribly much you can do to deviate with its arrows and the rest of the things it offers are mostly taken up as well. I can see a sort of paralyzing mechanic with Spirit Shackle, maybe a slower and more methodical ZSS, but overall Incineroar brings more flare and variables to the table.

Ah whoops, I meant Pit and two Links but I fuddled them. Dark Pit could be renovated for some more differences like Roy was but that'd just compound the competition for Decidueye. I don't think Incineroar would actually impose on Mac in the slightest though, Incineroar doesn't even have any punching moves - those hands are meant for gabbing.

And We get a new Cool grass starter in gen 7 right after sceptile gen ended. So it's safe to say Decidueye has the highest potential to get in. And to take care of some new memes niggers are trying to spread. Just because Decidueye uses archery, it's not going to be a Pit clone. I can't believe you guys keep on forgetting it's type, Grass/Ghost they can easily built his move pool from those two types alone. He can sneaky and break through people's shields with Phantom Force. Or quickly appear in front of the opponent with shadow sneak. And maybe control Frenzy Plants to strike the opponent off guard.

Ya, that's why they added Gengar, and Venasaur, and Polliwhirl, right.
Also like to point out that no Pokemon in Smash 4 have a type that Crosses with each other. And Grass/Ghost are two new great additions.
It's based on popularity too you know. And Decidueye Just pits the bill.
