I think she'll come back because every Pokegirl has come back at some point, not for any other reason. If she does I hope the crush is gone though - it's the wrong move for Pokémon a intended audience.
Eitherway, all PokeGirls after Misty are the same character with a different design, as far as I'm concerned, and Serena's is the most boring to me.
