>>34742880The silhouettes need to avoid looking like regular pokemon. Without the hand fins kyogre's would look really boring. Especially when compared to groudon and fug.
The same goes for yveltal and lugia, except it would be that the largest area of the design would be incredibly simple compared to the cluster of additions on the main body.
With regards to reshiram, the design would have been stronger without the hands. That being said, reshiram is a terrible design from head to toe. The skeleton fucks it over so hard. The neck looks like a pole and it comes out of the chest than the back. Making it seem like its spine goes down the front of the torso than the back. The wings seem to be coming out to the side, rather than moving sideways out to the back, yet there's no shoulders to speak of.
Then there's the meaty legs that again, seem to disconnected from the spine and the flat of the feet are longer than the lower leg with no toes in sight.
