may and June - SM6 with kalos. the legendary Pokemon giveaways is Zygrade, Yuvtule, Xeneras
August - will be Hoenn tcg with Groundon and kygroe give away.
October - Unova with zekrom and reshiem giveaways
so if gen 8 is coming this year then they can skip johto and kanto or if it comes out in 2019. they can use kanto and johto to nice time
or maybe kanto and johto are next games who knows
