a lot of the changes in gen 7 were to make the game more like yokai watch. probably a lot of you skipped it so you maybe wouldnt notice, but its pretty obvious how similar they are if youve played. everything from the map layout to the talking pokedex from the need to create uberstrong boss type pokemon are ripped pretty much from the game.

but whats funny is, yokai watch is actually much more rpg-like than modern pokemon, battle system aside. there are side quests with a quest tracker and you have to meet certain requirements to pass the ranks to progress, which requires grinding. so my question is, why the fuck would they talk all the dumb superficial stuff from yokai watch and not the parts that would actually improve the games?

i would kill to have mini quests and a quest tracker in a pokemon game. CONTENT
