I'm curious, I've been seeing arguments that if Pokémon Switch was released on 2019, it will be very good. Will that be true?

The point is not that releasing in 2019 means it will be good but that releasing in 2018 means less development time. Which means less time to polish, debug, create content and all that. So if the game is released in 2019 it has higher chances of being good.

Nintendo wants 20m Switchs sold by Q1 or Q2 of 2019. If the game does get released in 2019, it'll be by a time frame where the game would've gone or close to gone gold already, so this delay meme needs to stop.

It doesn't mean the game will be better. All it means is that they had trouble developing on a new platform and it caused delays. They plan everything they want to do from the start and the game gets delayed if the stuff they wanted to do takes longer than expected. They don't just work and then say "ok let's delay an extra year to suddenly add more content lol"

If they didn't want to """rush""" the game they wouldn't have given a 2018 estimate to begin with.
