>First MovieIt’s still fun to watch even though it’s 20 years old, you just need to know what you’re getting into. It’s not offering a great cinematic experience, but if you go into it with a light heart you’ll have a good time and a nice nostalgia trip. The dub has some great music inserts with the best version of the original theme and Brother My Brother.
>2000I really like the villain and Melody is a top tier waifu. Other than that, you have to really like Ash (and possibly be a Pokeshipper) to enjoy this movie since it basically sucks his dick the entire time. Team Rocket also gets a pretty big part in this.
>3This may be my favorite of the old movies. The “set” design is really gorgeous and the two villains are just great characters. This movie also has the best rendition of the best theme song, hands down.
>HeroesAnnie and Oakley are a lot of fun, as are Bianca and Latios. This is another one where I think you have to like Ash, but it’s not on the same level as 2000.

>>34752616 said. The companions are surprisingly good, especially the girl. She felt more like a proper peer friendly rival for Ash than anyone. The story issues are fairly big, though. Marshadow makes no sense, the human villain is bland save for one cool line, and there’s a scene where Ash is pretty out of character for confusing reasons just to force a minor conflict. Still, maybe it’s because I didn’t have high expectations going into it, but I REALLY enjoyed this movie. Way more than I thought I would.
I’m kind of a sap to begin with and maybe it was the nostalgia kicking in, but I cried more times than I’d like to admit, and even audibly sobbed at one point.I also remember liking 4ever, Jirachi, Deoxys, and Lucario, but I haven’t watched them as much so I don’t remember enough about them.
