Although I love gen 5 to death, and gen 5 has some of the best tracks out there, overall I think gen 7 takes the cake for best music.

Gen V's soundtrack really did grow on me as time passed. The thing that surprised me the most was that while I originally didn't like the legendary battle theme at all when I first heard it it has now become my favourite out of all legendary's perhaps next to Giratina's.
Something about the intense beat, chaotic pace change and offbeat piano make for a really epic battle theme.
