As for legit reasons why people wouldn't like gates as much as the others, there are these flaws
>100-120 unova pokemon and a few other i don't see how this is an issue, other than you won't be able to play as your bro, even though in most games you wouldn't until post game>you can only choose the unova starters, axew and pikachu as MC and partner this is kinda of a bad downside after having such a wide pool of characters>It's kinda easy compared to other games then again, main story is never really that hard, unless you fuck up your MC/partner combo badly>you can only do one mission at a time i'm ok with this, multiple missions would've made the grinding for buildings mat too easy>It has close to no post-game this is kinda bad too, since all of the other had a pretty decent post game>And the text speed is set to sloooow, and can't be changed, you can speed it up a little by holding B but it isn't that much of a change Funny enough people barely complain about this, probably because they haven't played the game or they got used to it like most peopleSadly, rarely people will give legit complains about the game and will say that it's shit, which is kinda true, if you're talking only about the gameplay aspect, it's a downgrade from the other games in a few aspect, though it also has it's upsides, such as moves leveling, the new move selection system and a few other features that were pretty neat, but people will dismiss those and focus on the bad aspects of the game, since remembering fails is easier
