There's a certain point of no return when it comes to marketing.

That point is where you actually spend money advertising a release date.

After that, it's incredibly punishing to delay a game, mostly because of the wasted money on advertisements and promotionals.

Oh, and they have literally no reason to make a high quality product. GF is like Blizzard, they could sell you fecal matter in a can with pikachu's head on it and people would still buy it.

And none of those games we're rushed, X and Y had plenty of development time. We know that this is the case. Masada posted plenty of pictures of when they went to France at the time, and it was even mentioned in interviews that that is why they went to France. ORAS couldn't have been rushed since RS weren't rushed. SM weren't rushed, we also know when Musada and team (B I think) went to Hawaii

Not necessarily.

IIRC it only gets a ratings boost if you can actually play the slots.

All it would take to keep the rating in Europe would be to remove the game and put a textbox on the machines, something like 'its a slot machine'. It's what they did for Platnium.

That would be left up to localisation, tho
