Everything and its mother can learn Ice Beam, Surf, Flamethrower, and Thunderbolt, while not many Pokemon learn Moonblast. The most widely distributed Fairy attack is Dazzling Gleam, which only has 80 BP and no secondary effect.

In most of europe and south america, the tooth fairy is actually a magical mouse.

Still, dedenne's dex entries never really mention any tooth fairy lore, the most it does is break into your house and steal your plugs. Maybe it really is just a fairy to showcase the type.

Which is a detriment unless they either bring back gen 3's system where moves that hits your partner doesn't gets its damaged lowered, or make it so Surf only hits opponents.

I agree that we need more viable Ice and Electric moves for those types to have a better chance of staying strong, but just being all teary eyed about Moonblast seems pointless.

The difference between Moonblast and Sticky Web/Quiver Dance, is that the later two are exclusive to shitmons that would not be given a second glance if not for those moves, while Moonblast is given to most specially oriented Fairies, except the Togepi, Ribombee, Mr Mime, and Magearna lines.

When both of the special attacker Tapus learn it, Pokemon with some of the best abilities in the game and 580 BSTs, it becomes completely different from Sticky Web.

Moonblast deserves -5 BP. Maybe even -10 BP if they feel like pushing Ice again.

Not OP, but Moonblast is too strong. Just like Earthquake since forever. And just like Outrage before Fairies. Moves with the best (offensive) typings should have slightly lower BP than moves with (offensively) shit types like Grass.

These moves effectively twist metas lead to Pokemon with these typings dominating formats and lead to GF making more decisions like the creation of fairies. Reducing their BP or PP a little would help balance the whole game.

They aren't really equally weighted. Moonblast's effect is worse than Beam/Bolt/Flamethrower so you can argue that it's entitles to its improved effect and higher BP, but Surf doesn't have an effect at all. Not to mention shit like Energy Ball being weak, whatever they were thinking with Sludge Wave and Sludge Bomb, and the like

Let's not forget play rough which is 90bp with a secondary effect while every other generic physical attack is 80bp (x scissor poison jab seed bomb dragon claw, etc)

The thing that's most offensive is that they are literally playing rough, and that does more damage than getting cut up by big scythes. They should at least make xscissor 90bp with a high crit rate now that leech life and luge make it obsolete and bug is already hard enough to justify the attack slot
