It makes retarded game design mistakes (Pokemon changing their main game typing without changing the Sprites at all, Pokemon evolving into stuff that looks nothing like the original form, adding a Ghost/Dark Wonder Guard fakemon with more than 1 HP, adding completely broken mons in general) as a joke.
It forgets the zombie premise 1/4th into the story.
