Honestly, it could've been a lot better,
More pokemon would've helped a lot
More areas, they were all cave/mountain like, the only different one was the lake.
Less electrical fields and more energy orbs would've helped, for every 1 energy orb there were like 12 electrical fields.
The motion controls were somewhat annoying.

How was what I listed saying I was bad at it?
I caught all the legendary Pokemon, UB's (minus version exclusive) and got shinies of every available pokemon within a day.

The wormholes weren't hard, it was another good idea poorly exeggcuted.

I have not caught any shinies in this thing, and it's driving me nuts.
I thought the rate was supposed to be cranked way up, but everything I've caught has been non-shiny, just meh stats too.
Maybe after I catch the legendary Pokemon in there, the odds improve?

You have to go pretty far and go in a rarer wormhole to raise the shiny rate to any significant level. Once you're in there the boosted shiny rate is locked for your visit so you can keep reloading if you need to.

You can change it for Solgageo at the ultra city. You don't need to catch it or anything, just talk to the team girl.

You can change it for the left stick at Gamefreak headquarters.

I don't like the mini game either but these two things make it quite more tolerable.
