>>34769700It's me again. I beat Whitney about an hour ago and took a break. I also cleared through every trainer I could find until Route 36 before the Sudowoodo tree.
Current Crystal team:
- Poliwhirl: Level 25 (male)
- Quilava - Level 25 (male)
- Odd Egg - Level 5 (didn't hatch yet)
Whitney was still a bit difficult in large part because Hypnosis kept missing, but I managed to beat her team with Poliwhirl alone (Rain Dance + Water Gun).
The Togepi egg hatched, but I deposited it because Togetic is shit. I also caught a Paras HM slave to learn Cut, and I am only keeping it in the Daycare so it can gain some experience and hopefully learn Spore.
The odd egg didn't hatch yet, but I expect it will be shit. Probably not a shiny either. If it hatches into a good Pokemon, I may end up using it, but for now this is my team.
Next update will be around 5th badge.
>>34770342Teddiursa is very mediocre in Gen 2. It only has Scratch, Lick, and Fury Swipes until Level 22, where it learns Faint Attack off a terrible special attack stat. It just isn't worth it; there are better Normal-types out there, and you can catch Ursaring later on.
