I can smile each time I get out of bed every morning knowing that I’ve found my identity with this character and I know my place in this world. It’s really quite funny how similar this character is to me, it’s almost like we’re identical twins. When I first saw this character, I had an existential crisis. What if this character was the real me and I was the fictional being. What if this character actual became aware of my existence? Did this character have the ability to become self aware itself?

Due to my love of the Masuda method and a prolonged history of shiny hunting, I've hit the point where all 100 of my boxes in bank are filled with wonder trade results.
So, now I'm sorting everything out so I can make more room for future shiny hunts.
This is first pass: sort everything in Pokedex order, and release all Pokemon with zero perfect IVs. If I still have too many after that pass, I might move on to releasing all Pokemon with only one IV, or possibly all Pokemon with bad natures.

Am I just getting particularly unlucky with this Weedle? I've been hatching eggs for about 4 days now and haven't gotten once. Is there something wrong with the Weedle I'm using? The shiny Ditto I have hatched a Natu and Nidoran just fine.

To be honest, this file hasn't been lucky at all. It's the same file where I've been hunting 7 weeks for a Poipole with no success, so I thought it was just extremely unlucky, and on top of that, it was a shorter hunt than expected. For what it's worth, all my successful hunts in Gen VII have come in within 120 encounters/eggs, out of maybe 6 hunts total, I'm at 50% strike rate - better than any other game, you do you and I'll do me but again

My personal favorite ball is the Luxury Ball. With the exceptions of Mewtwo (Master Ball) and the Ultra Beasts (Beast Ball), I catch or hatch every shiny in Luxury.

I understand the idea of having every Pokemon in a ball that complements it specifically, but I like keeping things uniform. Ultra Ball is my favorite to use because I really like the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. That and I like the color scheme in general.

Let's say you level up the Pichu to Pikachu, since that's the only way it can breed. Breed that Pikachu with Ditto and you should eventually get a 1/128 odds shiny Pichu offspring, but it HAS to be male. Then, breed Cyndaquil with Ditto until you get a female Cyndaquil offspring. Last step is to breed the shiny M-Pichu and F-Cyndaquil until you get a shiny Cyndaquil. It should work unless somehow you can't breed female shinies to get shiny male offsprings. Incidentally, a shiny Ditto eliminates the middle man entirely.

Does it have to be ditto-bred? I thought if you used shiny f pika with a male Cynda, you'd (eventually) get a shiny m pichu. which when evo'd and bred with a f Cynda, I could eventually get a s Cyndaquil (gender unimportant).

That's exactly what I explained in my post. I don't think it has to be Ditto-bred, though, but I'm not too sure. I wouldn't worry about using Ditto except only to get the M-Pichu and F-Cynda.

There's a glitch in Gold and Silver where, by manipulating the names of PC boxes, having a coin case, and having certain Pokemon in your party, you can transform one Pokemon into another and make it a shiny. In this way, you can get any shiny Pokemon without using the Soft Reset method. Then all you'd have to do is use the Move Deleter to ensure it doesn't have any illegal moves, and then transfer it to the Bank. There's a detailed guide on YouTube I think, specifically for shiny Celebi.

When you receive it. As long as you save before you get the egg from the Old Man, you can SR to get any of the Pokemon in it available shiny or not shiny.

This Odd Egg is going to kill me. I've been bogged down with 2 badges since Friday trying to get anything shiny out of it. Doesn't help that it takes decades to actually hatch it; even 2000+ SR sessions didn't feel this draining. Should I just give up for now, finish the game, and then go back for the Odd Egg? I would, but then I feel like I'd just jump into Celebi hunting once I activate it and forget about the egg.

Then, after that, I still need to get shiny Celebi, finish the Battle Chateau in Y 4 years after I should've, beat Black 2 over 5 years after I should've, finish shiny hunting UBs in USUM, get the Battle Tree ribbons, and finish building a full team (2/6 so far).

Anyone else have a "to do"list haunting them?

Exactly what I did. During the 24 hours you have to wait for Kurt to check out the GS Ball, you can get the Odd Egg and do the post-game when you get what you want out of it.

I've been procrastinating breeding Cryogonal and Litleo for months, and I need to finish trying to get Poipole, as well as resume MMing for my 3rd Popplio and Turtonator and trying to get Cute Charm on my Platinum.
>tfw resetted Black 2 and haven't played it in 3 years
Might even try to get the Shiny Charm on it.
