I wish they would do a Gen V again.
Entire region of 150+ new guys to play with.
EVERY single pokemon was usable on your team. Some were less powerful than others, but there were no true stinkers.
Couldn't encounter any older gen pokes until postgame, which made the region feel really unique.
It felt like a proper reboot of the series. I wish they continued this with Gen VI and VII being the Johto and Hoenn to Unova, but they decided to do a complete 180 and go full nostalgia-pandering.
What a shame.
There's so much generation cross-over these days, no Pokemon feels truly rare.
