Unlikely, since that'd mean creating new Joycons that'd be incompatible with the other version of the Switch.
For now at least, anything other than a dockless SKU maybe seems unlikely.

So no, not one that changes the size or shape of it anyhow.

I didn't expect it even before labo though for a multitude of reasons, not the least of which is that making an even smaller version of the switch, which is already one of the most powerful tablets on the market, would make the price skyrocket, not go down like some people seem to think.

They physically can't make the console much if any smaller at all. It's crazy that they made it all fit in the tiny tablet that we have and it won't get much smaller.

But that's their gimmick anon, whether you like it or not.
3DS had 3D, yet almost all games didn't utilize it
Wii had motion control, but most games didn't utilize it
Wii U had the Gamepad, although you could just swap it out for a Pro Controller

It doesn't matter if it's optinal or not. The Switch's gimmick is primarily the Joycons, which can
