How does this confirm 14 new Pokemon? All it confirms is that there's a switch game coming out, which we knew. Doesn't confirm voice acting either as apparently there's voice actors for USUM on the site but no actual voice acting in the game

The point is that there are currently 802 pokemon, so because she is listed as 821 there must be 14 pokemon before that, 9 of which would be starters.

As fake as this is, you're almost guaranteed to have at least 21 - starter lines, regional bird, regional bug, pseudolegend (because there are very few 3 stage lines that aren't "role" mons these days), and three legends.

I would rather have a region only with regional mons. Even Legendaries.

Could be good if the regional dex is good and distributed well throughout the game, giving things that don't appear much time to shine rather than shoving Zubat into every cave and forcing Psyduck into the dex for no reason again. Lack of new mons would be a bit underwhelming though but it wouldn't exactly make the game bad.

Since USUM I've been thinking it would be cool if a remake/third version/sequel introduced a few completely new pokemon lines (not just legendaries and mythicals), kind of like a mini gen. Like new starters, new early route mons, new pseudo, etc.

Well I sure hope so.

... Is what I would normally say, but with over 800 currently that adding even more variety doesn't matter too much anymore.
You could play the latest game a thousand times and have a completely unique team every single time.
