this is Heracross' learnset in gen 2

gen 2 learnsets in general were pretty terrible, but at least Heracross has giant Attack to make up for it. Better stock up on TMs!

Follow this OP. I spent hours and hours headbutting, with people telling me "just keep trying, it will happen eventually."

Fun fact is that if your trainer id ends in a 7, it will never appear in azalea.

Its moveset isn't good. However it learns a nice blend of TMs like earthquake, some rock move, etc. It's also pretty good for whitney if you get it in azalea

Oh, so you are a 7 as well? You can actually get there pretty early. Almost immediately after beating Whitney, you can get the squirt bottle and then run straight there.

Yeah, it's not really that bad all things considered. Plus if nothing else this gives me a chance to level up whatever I get from the odd egg properly rather than splitting the time leveling up a Heracross as well.
