Well, Doraemon didn't get adapted into an English speaking country for like 40 years.

I wonder why. Maybe it just looked really fucking tacky and foreign? Perhaps formulaic comedy toons were already in high enough demand? Or maybe they just didn't feel like editing out the perverted stuff.
