Man we really got jewed good by Game Freak. Hopefully the low customer review scores of Ultra Sun / Ultra Moon on Amazon.jp will hopefully means that Pokemon Switch will be a much better game than this lazy cash grab.

I have mixed feelings with USM. I enjoyed SM already so I but I have little motivation to play USM after the credits, and I haven't felt this way about third version until this one. Maybe if I payed $20 I wouldn't feel this way. How much better is the USM postgame?

When I heard about USUM I thought it would be like BW2, even if they say it isn't a sequel you still expect something pretty different.
While it's true that this isn't the first time they've released an improved version, being on older systems there was generally good reason for it.
You can't update a gba game, and while the ds could connect to the internet it was extremely limited and online updates to games weren't really a thing on it yet.

But after the 3ds there is no reason this should get a pass.
There is no reason chansey farming couldn't have been in SM, there is no reason move tutors couldn't have been in SM, there is no reason the new ultra beasts couldn't have been in SM because they can update the fucking game which is what USUM is with a $40 price tag.

I enjoyed doing the ultra wormhole stuff for legendaries, and festival plaza doesn't suck as much dick now with the improved FC rate and how much easier it is to get better facilities. I managed to hit like plaza rank 214 or something wacky like that. And some of the side quests are pretty neat (like the shool one) but that's honestly stuff that sucks if you miss it and come back overleveled.

still inexcusable--why not have a bigger staff so enough people are working on both sets of games so usum wasn't SM copy-paste cash-grab shit? and why did usum have to exist at all, let alone released barely 1yr afterwards? Game freak are lazy jews who don't gaf about quality in their games anymore (3ds-era main series has been shit), and just rushed out 4 games within 1 year. i'd be more pissed if i actually bought usum, but still, bullshit.
