The only problem is shit like the Colorless Altar where the motherfuckers keep wanting you to use cards you don't have and have no fucking idea which boosters give them

The first game had cards you could only get by using the fucking IR port, which required you to not only know someone else with the game, but that both of you had GBCs.

You only got one random card, out of every single card in the game, each time you did it. And you couldn't card pop with the same person twice until you did it with so many people that the game started forgetting the IDs of people you played with. You had to either know a lot of people with the game, or have someone willing to sit around erasing their game's memory and restarting.

Also some random cards were really strong such as Aerodactyl.

When I stopped playing the strongest were... Blaziken and Gardevoir.

No, that's still consistant today. Random shit like Garbodor and Seismitoad still become meta-defining cards on a regular basis.

Cool. Playing Pokemon GB is making me interessed into the TCG again.

I stopped at those gen 3 ex sets, at a point where Blaziken ex and Gardevoir ex were the most used decks and both had similar strategies.
