fighting type, especially genwun fighting types, were laughable
psychic was majorly OP in gen1, less so in gen3 but still formidable. I prefer having to actually battle Sabrina instead of clicking Peck and winning against shitmonlee and shitmonchan

the Kanto League in general for allowing a system of 'victor becomes the gym-leader'.

Though I guess in theory a psychic gym could have a more diverse roster since there's twelve psychic-typed pokemon in Gen 1, but only eight pokemon with fighting-type.
