I remember my brother getting Diamond and I got Pearl. When we first got the games my brother made a bet that whoever completes the game first wins. So we spent a lot of our time going through the game as fast as we could. One of the things I remember vividly about it was accidentally spelling my name wrong when I first played the game and I had to restart it to fix the problem. I won the race in the end but we still played the shit out of those games, doing all sorts of shit like Battle Tower Multi/Underground/Contests/Union Room/Poffin making/etc..
I remember going onto Serebii a year later and seeing the fake Shaymin leaks, thinking to myself "wow, that's fake". Same goes for the Giratina leaks but that turned out real in the end. When I found out it was real I decided to follow Serebii for more Platinum news. And when I watched Marriland's Japanese Platinum walkthrough of it (before he didn't turn into a jew) I was astonished with all of the changes that were made in Platinum, especially the Battle Frontier. I played Platinum even more than Pearl and had so much fun playing it. I still have my copies of Pearl and Platinum.
Aaaand that's my blogpost about my Sinnohfag adventures. These games mean the most to me out of all of them.
