>>34796467The main retort against 2018 is that a 2 year gap between gens is not realistic when 3 year is usually the minimum, especially when Switch is a brand new system, and their main team was working on SM through 2016, with the secondary team then working on USUM through 2017. Combined with the incredibly vague announcement of the game and its release date (again, only Nintendo has ever mentioned 2018 and even then isn't solid, not the devs) which Pokemon doesn't usually do.
