Only USUM and maybe SM are harder. XY, ORAS, BW, and BW2 are a fucking joke in terms of difficulty.

RBY is harder because of all the broken mechanics. The limited pokemon selection meant that if you didn't have a specific team then E4 could be an unpleasant experience. Same goes for BW1.

XY's trainers felt more tanky than previous gens. I think GF assumed everybody would minmax their team as soon as they unlocked Super Training so they gave the AI's pokemon more defense EVs.

You really couldn't beat gen 1 with only your starter. Unless you're one of those faggots who need to be at least 10 levels stronger than everything else.

You can beat any of them with your starter so what's the difference.

The Exp. Share making using a team easier actually just drags your starter down since you're prone to not only use it now.
