>>34819676No. The wormholes have their own unique shiny function separate from the rest of the game.
As you go through Ultra Space, your chances of finding a shiny increase until about 4500 light years. Depending on which type of wormhole you go into determines the likelihood of that Pokemon being shiny.
>Type 1 (standard) wormhole: You will always have a 1% chance.>Type 2 (1 rainbow ring): your shiny chance is 10%.>Type 3 (2 rainbow rings): your shiny chance is 19%.>Type 4 (2 rings & swirls): your shiny chance is 36%.The cool thing here is that the chance of it being shiny are set in stone once you land inside the wormhole. So if you want to synchronize or get good IVs, you can save right before the encounter, catch it, check, and soft reset at your leisure until you get exactly what you want.
This does not effect Ultra Beasts or Legendaries, but they ARE affected by the Shiny Charm, so you can soft reset for them. Hunting legendaries is better in USUM than in the previous gen because they're no longer bound by the days of the week, and Pokemon that were shiny locked in the previous generation can be shiny now (Xerneas, Yveltal, Mewtwo, Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza), and getting the Shiny Charm is much easier. Also, Ultra Beasts (which were shiny locked in SM) can be shiny now.
