Because Fairy-type is mostly special-based, same reason Rock only gets two special moves, with one being shit and the other having poor distribution.

The only reason it was special is because Ghost was physical. If both were introduced at the same time Ghost would have special and Dark physical.

Gamefreak follows a "mold" or "patterns" for each type. That is why things are mostly the same (Ice types being slow tanks, water types being specialy defensive, ect).

I have an idea for a fairy move. It would be 60 BP 10 PP but its ability is if it lands a super effective hit, it does x3 damage instead of x2, but this also applies for resists. resisted hits would do 1/3r instead of 1/2

I had an idea for another physical Fairy attack

it'd be one of those moves that hits 2-5 times, it'd be based around slapping the opponent in a funny manner, and it'd be the signature move of a Pokemon based on slapstick comedy

Why is the fairy type so fucking shitty and underwhelming?
They could have made it the "fantasy, but not dragon" type and had like ogremons, trollmons, creepymons based on folklore and stuff.
Instead it's just the gay fat pink type.
Also its matchup chart is ridiculously broken.
