>>34814111>bug legendThere's a Greek legend about a dragon-headed insect that lives in flames, they could mix that with a peanut-headed lanternfly (which have dragon-like heads to begin with) and make a neat Bug/Fire starter. It could even get a bunch of dragon moves and used by dragon specialists like Charizard, or have a Steelworker-like HA that gives it pseudo-STAB for dragon.
But really, Fire/Bug can go in many directions. Bombardier beetles and scarabs are the easiest combinations, you can always use the "water animal that lives in magma" formula (regional Surskit that skates on magma? A caddisfly that melts ordinary stone into obsidian and uses it to make its case?), and things like a vinegaroon that spits lava instead of vinegar or a Melanophila beetle (which have infrared sensors that they use to find and approach forest fires, because they lay their eggs into freshly burned wood) that feeds on burning trees would be cool too.
