>>34816563Fuck you idiots, too. SI is literally the same shit different ass as Imperial. The only difference is that SI likes to consider it's fancy made up nonsense more balanced because it uses base 10 for it's approach. This doesn't stop the fact that your shit has no basis in reality and the definition of a "meter" or a "Kilogram" was pulled out of someones ass from fucking nowhere.
You know what a meter actually is? 1/10MILLIONTH of the miscalculated distance between the Equator and the North Pole. Notice the "miscalculated" in there? Because it was, and it was corrected afterward, but the meter was never fucking corrected. Eventually they changed the definition, though. It was changed to be the exact length of a specific piece of metal bar that was kept by a board of science. It was a random fucking length of metal and THAT became the measuring tool for what a meter was. A random piece of metal. Eventually they changed it to the miscalculated (again) wavelengths in the emission line of a specific random element, because no one knew what to base it on when they stopped basing it on that random stick someone found. The current definition is that a meter is defined as "the distance light travels in a vacuum in 1/299792458 of a second. REAL FUCKING CLEAN AND EVEN NUMBERED AM I RIGHT?
And a Kilogram, holy shit don't get me started with this one, a Kilogram is literally the only system of measurement in the world defined by the EXACT WEIGHT OF AN ARTIFACT. As in, there is a ball of metal in France and THAT is a Kilogram. And everything else bases how much something weighs in Kilograms compared to that objects weight. It's called Le Grand Kilo and it's ridiculous how ass backwards and broken that system of measurement is when you realize that.
https://youtu.be/ZMByI4s-D-YNot to mention, in case you're unaware, SI has actually changed the calculations for how long a meter or how heavy a kilo is as time has gone on.
