Claydol's Ultra Moon Pokedex entry:
"The ancient people who made it apparently modeled it after something that descended from the sky. It fires beams from both arms."
Now let's compare the two:

There is a vague similarity there, and they share the similarity of having a pointy head, no legs, and firing beams from their "arms".
The ancient people who created Cladyol saw a Celesteela descend from the sky (come out of an Ultra Wormhole) and modeled Claydol after it.
Not only that, Celesteela is found in Haina Desert only in Moon, and Baltoy can be found there exclusively in Ultra Moon. Not to mention the Claydol dex entry was never brought up before Ultra Moon, solidifying the connection to Celesteela.
