Are pokemon fans' standards so low that they accept low budget, recycled, technologically-outdated DLC as games to buy at full price?

Will you buy Gen8 games at launch even though you know they will be incomplete beta games like every gen since Gen1?? or are you smart enough to wait for the full games that will be released later?

Maybe I'll try again for gen 8 to wait, but I usually get too impatient, and I don't want to miss all of the early gen trading frenzy. I only had the will power to do that once, in gen 5, and that was the gen it was most justified to buy both versions. I almost did it with X and Y, but clearly it was stupid to wait in that gen.

I'm hoping now that the games will be on switch and will likely release at 60 dollars each, they will adopt paid DLC. They can still create a physical version that includes the thirdd version, but then also offer a 20 dollar DLC pack that includes all of the new content for players that bought the first version. Ala Street Fighter 5 Arcade Edition
