why would they use Jade specifically? I get Vermilion cause there's a city named Vermilion City in the games, wouldn't VermilionRed and ViridianGreen make more sense?

I was referring more to naming them some variation of Red/Green, the whole thing is fanwank by a genwunner wanting to get back into pokémon but not wanting to play the games they spent 15 years shitting on.

Can't really do that because it depends upon the full game.

If it's missing the dozens of features they need to bring back then I don't really care about doing HG/SS backwards.
