>>34843666I always found that NPC very interesting. They were usally talking about trading Pokémon, so it gave the impression that Pokémon was more of a digital thing. As in, Pokémon don't actually exist, it's just trainers going around with their electronic devices catching virtual Pokémon and pretending to fight each other.
But obviously you also have actual Pokémon on the map (like that Machoke in Vermilion City) so obviously they actually exist.
